VW to recall 578,000 vehicles in China to fix headlight fuse
Reuters | 2017/5/19

BEIJING  -- FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Co. will recall nearly 578,000 Golf and Sagitar cars to fix a defective headlight fuse that may cause headlight failure.

The recall includes 416,364 Golfs produced from 2009 through 2014 and 161,226 Sagitars assembled from 2010 through 2012, according to China's quality watchdog, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.

FAW-Volkswagen is a joint venture between state-owned China FAW Group and Volkswagen. The partnership could not be reached for comment. Volkswagen China also declined to comment.

In March, Volkswagen recalled more than 1 million Audi vehicles to repair potential leaks and faulty coolant pumps. Last year, VW Group delivered nearly 4 million vehicles in China.
